Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The 44-2142 apron is built from carefully selected split cowhide with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. It forms a solid yet flexible barrier that protects effectively against hot metal spatter, radiant heat and mechanical injury. The seams are sewn entirely with extremely strong 3-ply DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid thread, which makes the apron last. Unlike standard thread, KEVLAR® does not melt or burn through, so the apron stays intact even in extreme conditions. Key structural points, such as the strap attachments, are additionally secured with metal rivets, which greatly extends the life of the product.
Safety and Certification
The Weldas Golden Brown™ 44-2142 apron is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 Class 2/A1+A2, which confirms the highest level of protection. Class 2 is intended for heavy welding work, including MMA, MIG/MAG and FCAW, where there is a lot of spatter and intense radiant heat. All Weldas products go through rigorous testing at the renowned notified body TÜV, so you can be sure you are investing in safety verified by independent experts.
