Materials and construction
The reliability of the 44-7136 apron is built on top-quality grade A split cowhide which, under the strict Weldas specification, is at least 1 mm thick. This carefully selected material forms a solid protective barrier with exceptional resistance to heat, molten metal spatter and mechanical damage. The seams are a key structural element, sewn with extremely strong 5-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid thread. Unlike standard threads, KEVLAR® does not melt or burn at high temperatures, so the apron stays intact even in the most critical situations. To ensure maximum service life, all points under the highest stress, such as the strap attachment points, are additionally reinforced with solid metal rivets.
Safety and certification
The Weldas Lava Brown™ 44-7136 apron is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 in Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible level of protection for welding clothing, intended for the most demanding and hazardous welding processes that produce a lot of spatter and intense radiant heat. Certification by the well-known notified body TÜV and the CE marking guarantee that the product meets the strictest European safety standards. With this model you invest in proven, documented safety at the highest level.
