Materials and construction
Weldas engineers developed the 38-4350 jacket from a detailed analysis of welders' working conditions. The body is made of very dense flame retardant cotton weighing as much as 520 g/m², which forms an effective barrier against radiant heat and small spatter, while still letting air circulate and moisture escape. The key zones, the entire sleeves, are made of hard wearing split cowhide for the highest level of protection against heavy molten metal spatter. This combination of materials makes the jacket much lighter than all leather models, which means less fatigue during long hours of work. The seams, stitched with 3-ply KEVLAR® thread that resists high temperature and tearing, keep the garment intact.
Practical note: According to feedback from professional users, the Arc Knight® line may run small. To make sure your wrists are fully covered and the fit is comfortable, we strongly recommend choosing one size larger than you normally wear.
