Materials and construction
Weldas engineers designed this model for the varied demands of a welding station. The front and sleeves are made of selected split cowhide with a minimum thickness of 1 mm, which gives solid cover against molten metal spatter and radiant heat. The key element is the back, made of flame retardant cotton weighing 305 g/m². This noticeably improves comfort, especially during long shifts, because the jacket breathes better and weighs less. The whole garment is held together by very strong 3-ply KEVLAR® aramid thread, which does not melt at high temperature and keeps the seams from coming apart. Details add to your safety: electrically insulated snaps protect against accidental electric shock, and metal rivets at critical points (covered on the inside for comfort) give the jacket a longer than average service life.
