Materials and Construction
The 44-2800 cape sleeve is built from carefully selected split cowhide with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. This material forms an effective mechanical and thermal barrier against hot metal spatter and intense radiant heat. The seams are a key structural element and are sewn entirely with 3-ply DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread. Unlike standard thread, KEVLAR® does not melt or burn through, which keeps the garment intact even in direct contact with sparks. All critical points exposed to tearing are additionally secured with rivets. The design with sleeves protects the chest and the full length of the arms while leaving the back open, which noticeably improves ventilation and comfort during long hours of work.
Safety and Certification
The Golden Brown™ 44-2800 cape sleeve is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible level of protection for welding clothing: the product is intended for manual welding techniques that produce large amounts of spatter and droplets, such as MMA or MIG/MAG. Conformity has been confirmed by the renowned notified body TÜV, so you can be sure your safety rests on a tested and verified product.
