Materials and construction
The 10-2392GB gloves are a showcase of materials engineering, where every element has a precisely defined function.
Radiant heat protection: The back of the hand and the cuff are covered with a layer of aluminised PFR (Protective Flame Retardant) Rayon. Its mirror-like surface is designed to reflect up to 95% of radiant heat. This is essential when you work at high currents or near hot workpieces, and it protects your hand from overheating.
Mechanical strength: The palm is made of selected split cowhide from the Golden Brown™ line. This material offers high resistance to abrasion, puncture and contact heat, giving you a secure grip and a long glove life.
Comfort and insulation: The inside of the glove is fully lined with the patented COMFOflex® lining. This soft, flame-retardant padding adds an extra thermal barrier and also actively wicks away sweat, so your hands stay dry and comfortable even after many hours of work.
Seam integrity: The gloves are sewn throughout with 3-ply DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread. Its very high tear strength and heat resistance remove the weakest point of cheap gloves: burnt-through and split seams.
Safety and certification
Welder safety is a priority for Weldas. The 10-2392GB model carries the CE marking and is certified by the independent notified body TÜV. The gloves meet the requirements of EN 12477 Type A, the standard for the heaviest welding work, which combines the demanding tests of EN 388 (mechanical risks) and EN 407 (thermal risks).
