Materials and construction
The reliability of the 44-3010Z cover starts with carefully selected cowhide split leather, a material valued in the welding industry for its high mechanical strength and natural resistance to high temperature. It forms a solid barrier that protects sensitive cables against hot spatter and sharp edges in the workshop. The key design element that reflects top quality is the 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread. Unlike standard threads, KEVLAR® does not melt or burn through, so the seams stay intact even in heavy use. The well-thought-out hook-and-loop closure lets you fit the cover in seconds without removing the welding torch.
Safety and certification
This product is not personal protective equipment (PPE) and is not subject to certification under EN ISO 11611. Its role in workplace safety, however, is hard to overstate. By protecting the insulation of welding cables against damage, the cover reduces the risk of electric shock, short circuits and costly production downtime. The materials used (cowhide split leather, KEVLAR® thread) are proven in certified Weldas protective clothing, which guarantees their protective properties.
