Materials and Construction
The reliability of the 44-3022Z cover starts with carefully selected split cowhide. Valued in the welding industry for its natural resistance to heat and abrasion, this material forms a solid barrier that protects sensitive cables from hot spatter and sharp edges. A key design element that reflects the uncompromising Weldas approach to quality is the KEVLAR® thread. Unlike standard thread, KEVLAR® does not melt or burn through under heat, so the seams of the cover stay intact even in the toughest conditions. The 6.7 metre length is optimal for protecting most standard MIG/MAG and TIG torches, from the power source all the way to the handle.
Safety and Certification
As an accessory for protecting equipment, this product is not directly certified to PPE standards such as EN ISO 11611. Its role, however, is to significantly improve indirect safety. By protecting the cables from damage, it minimises the risk of gas leaks, electrical short circuits and tripping over loose cables.
