Materials and Construction
The reliability of the 44-7922Z cover starts with carefully selected split cowhide, a material valued in welding for its high resistance to heat and mechanical damage. The thick leather forms a solid barrier that protects the cables inside from hot spatter and sharp edges. A key design element, and a mark of top quality, is the 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread. Unlike standard thread, KEVLAR® does not melt or burn through, so the seams of the cover hold up even in heavy use. A sturdy zip completes the design and lets you fit or remove the cover in seconds without disconnecting the welding torch.
Safety and Certification
As an accessory for protecting equipment, this product is not classified under PPE standards such as EN ISO 11611. Its construction, however, uses the same materials and technologies as certified Weldas protective clothing. Split cowhide and KEVLAR® thread ensure that the cover gives the cables the highest level of protection. With this product you genuinely improve safety at the workstation by reducing the risk of damage to cable insulation, which could lead to short circuits or electric shock.
