Amt Hybrid 4000m is an inverter MIG/MAG power source with current up to 400 A, with a separate wire feeder and an interconnection package of about 10 m. You adjust the wire feed and the welding voltage steplessly and read the settings from a display.

This is a set for continuous work in a workshop and in production, where steel structures are welded with solid wire. Current up to 400 A covers typical structural thicknesses, and simple operation shortens the time needed to set up the station.
The panel is split: on the power source you pick the curve, on the feeder you set the feed and correct the voltage. An interconnection package of about 10 m moves the feeder away from the power source, so you walk with it over the structure and the machine stays in one place.

What to watch out for
Supply 400 V. The product record gives liquid cooling, and the set list has no cooling unit, so a liquid cooled torch needs a separate module. The torch from the set is gas cooled and rated 500 A, a margin over the current of the power source. The panel is simple, without a wide menu, the welder sets the parameters. The earth cable is 3 m, on a larger part it is worth adding a longer one, and the brand name in the record reads ATM, while the machine shows Amt.
