The RC 18 is a Böhler Welding remote control with analogue communication, intended for CORE machines. This version has a 5 m cable. According to the Böhler selection guide it adjusts the welding current, so you change the current without walking to the machine.
What it is for
The remote helps when the CORE machine stands on the floor or on a trolley and you weld a few metres away. Correcting the current when you change welding position or electrode diameter then needs no break to walk to the machine. The RC 18 has no display: in the selection guide it only adjusts current. Choose the 5 m version when the cable route from the machine to your workplace fits within 5 m.

FAQ
RC 18 or WRC-B?
Both only adjust welding current. The RC 18 connects with a 5, 10 or 15 m cable and fits all five CORE models in the list. The WRC-B is wireless (85 x 35 x 18 mm, 0.03 kg) and the price list names it for CORE 185 TIG and CORE 210 TIG.
Does the RC 18 fit TERRA NX or URANOS NX?
No. These machines use digital CAN bus remotes, for example the RC 100 or RC 200. The RC 18 is analogue and the price list assigns it to CORE only.
Which cable length should I choose?
Measure the cable route from the machine to your workplace and add a reserve. The RC 18 comes in three versions: 5 m (71.02.350), 10 m (71.02.35001) and 15 m (71.02.35002).
What is the difference between RC 18 and RC 180?
Dimensions of 160 x 40 x 50 mm and a weight of 0.7 kg are the same, but the RC 18 uses analogue communication and fits CORE, while the RC 180 communicates via CAN bus and fits TERRA, TERRA NX and URANOS NX.
