The BT26 is a gas-cooled TIG torch, 4 m long, for Böhler CORE machines. It takes electrodes from 1.0 to 4.0 mm and carries 180 A DC or 125 A AC at 35% duty cycle. This is the standard version, with no current control on the handle. The price list specifies it for the CORE 210 TIG, which comes with a BT26 as standard, and also for the CORE 185 TIG and the CORE MMA machines.
What it is for
As a spare torch for the CORE 210 TIG or a stronger alternative to the BT17 on the CORE 185 TIG: electrodes up to 4.0 mm and 180 A DC. Connection kits for CORE machines are listed below under Also order. You set the current on the machine.

FAQ
BT26 or BT17?
The BT26 takes electrodes up to 4.0 mm and carries 180 A DC at 35%. The BT17 4 m stops at 3.2 mm and 150 A DC, and the price list does not assign it to the CORE 210 TIG or CORE 210 MMA.
Which consumables fit the BT26?
Standard 17/18/26 series parts: collets 1.0 to 4.0 mm, collet bodies in the same sizes, ceramic nozzles from No. 4 (6.4 mm) to No. 12 (19 mm) and a long or short back cap. Match the collet and collet body to the electrode diameter.
4 m or 8 m?
The 4 m length is enough at a bench or close to the machine, and the torch is easier to coil up. If you weld further from the power source, for example on a large structure, choose the BT26 8 m. The price list assigns the 8 m version to the CORE 185 TIG and CORE 210 TIG, not to the CORE MMA machines.
