This PulseDrive program sets the machine up for pulsed arc welding with AlSi5 (ER4043) class wires, 1.2 mm, with I1 shielding gas. Pulsed arc and double pulse make thin sheet and positional welds easier.
What it is for
The program holds synergic curves for this one combination of wire, diameter and gas. You change wire feed speed or plate thickness and the machine sets voltage and arc shape itself. The program is meant for aluminium and its alloys. AlSi5 is used on aluminium-silicon alloys and castings.

Will this program work on my machine?
Yes, if your model is on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. Give the machine model and serial number with your order so we can confirm compatibility with its software. Whether our service installs it or it comes as a manufacturer update is settled after the order.
PulseDrive or QuickPulse?
QuickPulse is a T.MAP process: the price list credits it with faster welding, higher deposition rate, a more concentrated arc and less heat. It covers fewer machines, not URANOS NX 2700. QuickPulse for this set-up: QuickPulse 1.2 mm, gas I1 (79.QP.112).
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if the wire belongs to the AlSi5 (ER4043) class, which you can check on the spool label. If your wire is unusual, contact us before ordering.
