This PulseDrive pulse program is set up for AlSi5 (ER4043) class wires, 1.0 mm diameter, with I1 shielding gas. Pulsed arc and double pulse make thin sheet and positional welds easier.
What it is for
Each program covers one combination: wire, diameter, gas. You enter wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for aluminium and its alloys. AlSi5 is used on aluminium-silicon alloys and castings. Pure argon is the standard shield for aluminium, copper and nickel alloys.

Will this program work on my machine?
Yes, if your model is on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 1.0 mm, gas I1 (79.S1.111).
Does it suit wire from any manufacturer?
Yes, if the wire belongs to the AlSi5 (ER4043) class, which you can check on the spool label. If your wire is unusual, contact us before ordering.
