This PulseDrive pulse program is set up for SK STELKAY 6 G wire, 1.2 mm diameter, with I1 shielding gas. It provides pulsed arc and double pulse, which means less spatter and better pool control.
What it is for
The program holds synergic curves for this one combination of wire, diameter and gas. You change wire feed speed or plate thickness and the machine sets voltage and arc shape itself. This is a surfacing program: you use it to apply a layer that protects a surface or restores its dimensions. SK STELKAY 6 G is a cobalt-chromium (CrCo) based surfacing wire.

Will this program work on my machine?
Yes, as long as your machine is in the selection list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. You buy the program for one specific machine: give its model and serial number with your order. Installation (service visit or manufacturer update) is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control.
Can I use this program with a different wire?
The curves are tuned to SK STELKAY 6 G. Another wire may behave differently, so contact us and we will match a program to the wire you use.
