This PulseDrive pulse program is set up for Thermanit 22/09 wire, 1.2 mm diameter, with M12 shielding gas. You get pulsed arc and double pulse, useful where the look of the weld face matters.
What it is for
The program holds synergic curves for this one combination of wire, diameter and gas. You change wire feed speed or plate thickness and the machine sets voltage and arc shape itself. The program is meant for duplex stainless steels. The 1.2 mm diameter suits medium and thicker plate, typical in fabrication work.

Which machine can run this program?
Any machine on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. When ordering, give the model and serial number of the machine the program is for. Installation, by our service or as a manufacturer update, is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 1.2 mm, gas M12 (79.S1.06499).
Can I use this program with a different gas?
No: the curves are made for M12. M12 is argon with a small CO2 addition, a typical gas for stainless steel. For Z choose a separate program: PulseDrive 1.2 mm, gas Z (79.P1.25999).
