FAQ
Potentiometer or U/D?
Both versions control the current from the torch and have the same ratings. On the BT17 U/D 4 m you change the current with up/down buttons, here you set it with the potentiometer. The spare triggers are separate items: 82.10.481 (U/D) and 82.10.482 (potentiometer).
Does it fit the CORE 210 TIG?
The price list assigns the BT17 with potentiometer to the CORE 185 TIG only. For the CORE 210 TIG choose the BT26 with potentiometer 4 m.
Which consumables fit the BT17 with potentiometer?
Standard 17/18/26 series parts: collets 1.0 to 3.2 mm, collet bodies in the same sizes, ceramic nozzles from No. 4 (6.4 mm) to No. 12 (19 mm) and a long or short back cap. Match the collet and collet body to the electrode diameter.
4 m or 8 m?
The 4 m length is enough at a bench or close to the machine, and the torch is easier to coil up. If you weld further from the power source, for example on a large structure, choose the BT17 with potentiometer 8 m.
