What it is for
The long back cap takes a full-length electrode, so you can feed it forward as it is ground down. The joint with the torch head is sealed by O-ring 82.10.020. Replace the cap when it is cracked or the thread is damaged.

Long or short back cap?
The long cap (82.10.018) takes a full-length electrode. The short cap (82.10.019) shortens the torch rear for tight spots, with a shorter electrode.
Does it fit the ST 2500 torch?
No. The ST 2500 uses 9/20 consumables; the back caps there are 82.10.064 (long) and 82.10.065 (medium).
Which O-ring fits?
O-ring 82.10.020, pack of 10.
