The BT17V is a gas-cooled TIG torch, 4 m long, from the V series, which the Böhler Welding price list includes among the accessories of the CORE 165 MMA and CORE 185 MMA. It takes electrodes from 1.0 to 3.2 mm and carries 150 A DC or 105 A AC at 35% duty cycle.
What it is for
When you have a CORE 165 MMA or CORE 185 MMA and want to use it for TIG welding as well. For connecting the torch the price list specifies kits: 73.10.201 for the CORE 165 MMA and 73.10.200 for the CORE 185 MMA. The V series comes in 4 m only, and you set the current on the machine.

How does the BT17V differ from the BT17?
The ratings in the price list are the same. The BT17V belongs to the V series from the MMA section, comes in 4 m only and fits the CORE 165 MMA and CORE 185 MMA. The BT17 4 m fits the same machines plus the CORE 185 TIG, and the BT17 family also has U/D and potentiometer versions and an 8 m length.
Does the BT17V fit the CORE 210 MMA?
For the CORE 210 MMA the price list specifies the BT26V and the BT26 4 m, not the BT17V. Both take electrodes up to 4.0 mm.
Which consumables fit the BT17V?
Standard 17/18/26 series parts: collets 1.0 to 3.2 mm, collet bodies in the same sizes, ceramic nozzles from No. 4 (6.4 mm) to No. 12 (19 mm) and a long or short back cap. Match the collet and collet body to the electrode diameter.
