What this machine is for
This is kit for heavy steel structures, thick sections and long runs. At a 100% duty cycle it holds 500 A, so you weld with it without breaks for cooling, and you have the peak of 630 A at a 60% duty cycle, for example when you weld with wires of a large cross section and at a high deposition rate.
Besides welding with wire the machine runs a covered electrode and air carbon arc gouging, that is the removal of material with a carbon electrode and compressed air. That method helps in reclamation work, when you cut out faulty welds and when you prepare the root for a sealing run. You set the voltage and the wire feed steplessly, and the wire is driven by a four roll feed, which keeps the feeding even with longer cable packs.

What to watch out for
At currents like these the 400 V supply must have a fuse matched to the draw, and a three phase socket is the base, because the description gives no value for the fuse. Air carbon arc gouging needs compressed air and a separate torch, which is not in the set. The MIG torch from the set carries 500 A, that is below the peak of the source, so at 630 A you work in shorter spells or you add a stronger torch. With liquid cooling watch the coolant level and the flow through the hoses. The description gives no weight and no dimensions, so arrange the transport before collection.
