The ESAB Aristo MIG 500 with the U8 panel is an inverter MIG/MAG welder with liquid cooling, for a 400 V supply. The source gives 500 A at a 60% duty cycle and 400 A at a continuous 100% load, and you set the current from 16 A to 500 A. Besides MIG/MAG it handles MMA and air carbon arc gouging.
What this machine is for
A setting range from 16 A to 500 A is a wide spread. At the bottom of the range you tack thin sheet, at the top you lay thick fillet welds and multi run welds. At 400 A the machine works without stopping, so you do not have to watch for cooling breaks.
Three modes close the subject of one station: MIG/MAG with wire under gas shielding, MMA with a stick electrode and air carbon arc gouging to cut out faulty welds with a carbon electrode and compressed air. Super Pulse has a separate setting for the primary and the secondary phase: in one you run a short arc, in the other pulse, so on vertical work the pool freezes in cycles and does not run down.

What to watch out for
The supply is a 400 V mains, and match the power circuit to work at 500 A. The interconnection cable is about 1.5 m long, so the wire feeder stands right next to the source. For gouging you buy a torch, carbon electrodes and compressed air separately, the set does not include them.
The cooler needs fluid with frost protection, so check the level, the flow and the tightness of the quick couplings. The card gives no weight and no dimensions.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
