The ESAB Aristo Mig LUD 320 is a multiprocess power source with a current up to 320 A, handling MIG/MAG with synergy, TIG DC with pulse and the covered electrode. At a 100% duty cycle at a temperature of 40 degrees C the machine holds 250 A. The supply is 400 V in three phases, and the cooling is run by an integrated Aristo cooler.
What this machine is for
At one station you move from heavy steel structures to fine welding of thin acid resistant and aluminium sheet. In MIG/MAG you work synergically: you pick a program for the wire and the gas, and the processor sets the rest, which shortens the changeover and limits setting mistakes. The programs also cover aluminium alloys, with a soft start and a clean weld face. The maker aimed this model at production plants, at metalwork shops and at maintenance departments, that is where one machine is to take the place of several.
The other side of this machine is TIG DC with pulse. A regular pulsing of the current keeps a cooler pool, so you weld material below 1 mm thick without burn through and distortion, and the weld face comes out with an even ripple. On top of that comes the MMA mode, useful in quick jobs where a gas shield makes no sense.
The TrueArcVoltage system deserves separate attention. The voltage is measured straight at the contact tip and not inside the power source, so the arc answers the setting from the panel also when you work on long cables. On joints that then go for non destructive testing, this difference turns straight into repeatable parameters.
Features and equipment
- Three methods in one power source: MIG/MAG with synergy, TIG DC with pulse and MMA.
- Current up to 320 A with a duty cycle of 250 A at 100% at a temperature of 40 degrees C: a high continuous value for long welds.
- TrueArcVoltage: voltage measured at the contact tip, so long cables do not change the arc parameters.
- Pulse in the TIG DC method: a cooler pool lets you weld material thinner than 1 mm without burn through.
- Synergic MIG/MAG programs for the wire and the gas, also for aluminium alloys, with a soft start.
- Aristo panel with a choice of programs: the changeover of the station comes down to pointing out the job.
- Integrated Aristo cooler: the liquid circuit takes the heat from the torch in work at a high current.

What to watch out for
The supply is 400 V in three phases. The duty cycle is 250 A at 100% at a temperature of 40 degrees C, at higher currents plan breaks. The cooler is integrated with the power source, check the fluid level and the tightness of the circuit after delivery, because a liquid cooled torch with an empty system you damage at once.
The maker description gives the Aristo panel in the U82 version or a similar one, so confirm the version of the panel before you buy, because the set of available functions depends on it. The card does not name a MIG torch, a TIG torch or cables, ask about the accessories. For TIG you need a torch with a gas valve and a regulator for argon.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
