The EWM Wega 600 is a MIG/MAG welder of transformer design, for a 400 V supply, liquid cooled. The card gives a current of 600 A. You set the voltage in steps with a switch, and you adjust the wire feed steplessly.
What this machine is for
This is a power source for heavy, repeatable work on thick steel. A transformer with copper windings has a simple build: less electronics, fewer things to damage in dust and at voltage jumps. A current of 600 A is enough for thick fillet welds, multi run joints, hard facing and work with a large diameter wire.
Voltage adjustment in steps means that you pick one of the winding taps and match the wire feed to it. Setting up takes longer than in a synergic source, but the setting is firm and does not drift during the shift. The interconnection cable 10 m long moves the wire feeder away from the source, so you walk around a large part without moving the machine.

What to watch out for
Work at 600 A needs a 400 V power circuit matched to that current, so agree the socket and the fuse with an electrician. A transformer machine is heavy, and the card gives no weight and no dimensions, so plan the transport and the way into the bay in advance. This series also has units rated 400 A, so when you order confirm that it is the 600 A version. The cooler needs fluid with frost protection, so check the level, the flow and the tightness of the quick couplings. The card does not list a torch or an earth cable, so confirm the content of the set before collection.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
