The Fronius Trans Puls Synergic 3200 CMT TPS is an inverter MIG/MAG power source in a complete CMT configuration: a power source, a feeder and a torch made for this process. The current reaches 320 A at a 40% duty cycle and 220 A at a 100% duty cycle, and the supply is 400 V with a 35 A fuse.
What this machine is for
CMT, that is Cold Metal Transfer, puts in little heat and holds a stable arc, which is why it is taken for thin sheet and for joints where a small heat affected zone counts. The maker states that within a certain range you join different materials with this method, for example steel with aluminium.
Apart from CMT the machine works in pulse mode, in synergic mode and in manual mode, so it will handle ordinary MIG/MAG welding on thin and medium sections. A current of 220 A at a 100% duty cycle is enough for long beads.

What to watch out for
The supply is 400 V with a 35 A fuse. The torch is liquid cooled, so a working cooler has to be part of the station, and you check the fluid level and flow before the shift. You move the set with the power source and the separate feeder on a trolley. Before you buy, look at the state of the CMT welding cable and the set of rollers.
