Praktik TIG 202 DC Pulse LED is a portable IGBT inverter welder for 230 V. It welds TIG, TIG Pulse and MMA on direct current (DC), at 10 to 200 A. Under inert gas you use it to join stainless, carbon and low-alloy steel, copper and titanium. It weighs 6.3 kg, so it suits both the workshop and work on site.

Features
TIG DC and TIG DC Pulse
You have three modes: TIG DC, TIG DC Pulse and MMA. By setting the pulse, you influence the weld shape and how focused the arc is. Less heat then goes into the material, which helps on thin parts.
HF or LIFT ignition
You strike the arc without contact (HF) or by contact (LIFT). Choose LIFT where electromagnetic interference could affect the surroundings. The torch trigger works in 2T, in 4T with latch for long welds, or in COLD WELD mode, which the manufacturer describes as spot welding.
LED panel
The LED panel is readable even in very bright light. On it you set gas pre-flow and post-flow, start current, rise time, welding current, base current, fall time, end current, and pulse width and frequency.
MMA and VRD
With coated electrodes, HOT START makes ignition easier, ARC FORCE keeps the arc going during droplet transfer, and ANTI STICK switches off the voltage when the electrode sticks. VRD lowers the open-circuit voltage on the electrode to a safe level. This protects you from electric shock in damp surroundings.
Construction
A fan cools the inside, and there is overload protection. You connect and disconnect the gas quick coupler without tools.
