Kemppi Kempact Pulse 3000 is a compact MIG/MAG welder with pulse and double pulse. You set the current from 20 to 250 A, at 160 A the machine runs at a 100% duty cycle, and it weighs 22 kg. The supply is 3 x 400 V with a tolerance of 15%.
What this machine is for
This is a machine for precise welding of aluminium, stainless steel and thin sheet. The description points to sheet metal workshops, yacht builders and companies making structures from aluminium and from stainless steel. The pulse transfers the metal in drops, without short circuits, so the weld comes out without spatter, and the double pulse lays a ripple on the face close in look to a TIG weld at a pace typical for MIG.
The duty cycle is 250 A at 40% and 160 A at 100%, so for continuous work you count on 160 A, and you hold the full current for four minutes out of ten. On aluminium the control of heat matters most, because the distortion of thin sheet depends on it, and that is exactly what the pulse does here. The description states that the machine handles aluminium sheet 1 mm thick.

What to watch out for
The supply is 3 x 400 V with a tolerance of 15% and a time delay fuse of 10 A, so the machine fits a typical workshop installation and does not need a strong circuit. The data sheet gives gas cooling, without a liquid circuit, so for longer runs at high current you pick a torch for that duty or you take breaks.
The manufacturer description gives a current of 250 A, and the shop filter classifies the machine in the range up to 300 A, so go by the value of 250 A. The data sheet does not list a torch or cables, ask about the content of the set. For work on aluminium the accessories matter: rolls with a U groove, a teflon liner and a torch of the right length, because soft wire jams easily. A weight of 22 kg lets you move the machine between halls.

This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added.
