The Kjellberg HiFocus neo 130 A is an industrial plasma cutter of transformer build, liquid cooled, with a cutting current of 130 A at a 100% duty cycle. You set the current steplessly from 20 A to 130 A, and the set holds the digital PGC gas mixer, the PGV 2-161 console and the PBA-161 machine torch set at an angle of 90 degrees.
What this machine is for
This is a power source for machine cutting, not for hand work. The torch at an angle of 90 degrees is made for a robot arm, a CNC cutter or a rotating column, and its geometry lowers the risk of a collision in complex moves and makes access easier when you cut three dimensional parts. A 100% duty cycle at the full current of 130 A means multi shift work without breaks for cooling.
The documentation aims this system at steel service centres, at makers of heavy structures and at firms bringing in cutting automation. The maker gives precise cutting in raised accuracy up to about 30 to 35 mm, depending on the material. The digital gas control is behind the almost vertical edge and the clean cut surface, so part of the grinding and deburring before welding or painting falls away. In batch production that counts in working hours, because the part goes to the next stage straight from the table and not through an edge dressing station.
The steadiness of the parameters matters here from the first to the last metre of the cut. On long sheets every drift from the setting shows on the edge and ends in rejects, so the liquid cooling system takes the heat from the torch and from the power parts, and the geometry of the plasma arc stays the same. The machine comes from a stripped robot station, so the power source, the gas console and the torch are matched to each other.
Features and equipment
- Digital PGC gas control: the controller doses the flows and switches between the starting gas and the working gas by itself, so the nozzles and the electrodes last longer than with a hand console. In the PGC you save bases of cutting parameters for different materials, so the result does not depend on who sets the machine up, and mistakes with pressures fall away.
- Transformer build: a large thermal inertia and resistance to overloads and to swings of the mains parameters, so the machine holds a current of 130 A at a 100% duty cycle.
- Liquid cooling: the system takes the heat from the torch and from the power parts, so the geometry of the plasma arc stays the same from the start to the end of a long cut, and the torch can be smaller and reach better into hard places.
- Stepless current control from 20 A to 130 A: with one machine you cut thin sheet and thick plate without changing the setup, you only call up the right set of parameters from the cutting base.
- PBA-161 machine torch at an angle of 90 degrees: made for robots and cobots, with connectors that let you change the parts or the whole torch fast.
- PGV 2-161 gas console: a valve matched to this power source and to the torch, ready to plug in without building your own gas line.
- Control of the piercing and of the arc shut down: the communication with the machine controller covers the start and the end of the cut, and that counts in automatic work.

What to watch out for
This is a machine system, so to work you need a gantry, a robot or a column with its own control, and also gas and compressed air lines with parameters to the cutting tables. The source description gives no supply voltage and no gas requirements, so confirm both points before you buy and plan the circuit for a transformer power source, which draws more from the mains than an inverter.
The machine comes from a stripped robot station, so the components are matched to each other, but the control cables and the setup for your controller have to be prepared separately. You check the cooling circuit before start up, and the wear parts of the torch, that is the nozzles, the electrodes and the shields, look at and count as a starting cost.
How we sell used machines
This unit was checked in our service workshop in Krotoszyn with measurements to PN-EN 60974-4 and a load test. The price includes the first year of the basic service package: an inspection with cleaning of the machine and a validation measurement. Further years can be added. We ship across the European Union, collection in person by appointment.
