Materials and construction
The exceptional durability of these spats starts with selected grade A cowhide split leather with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. It forms an excellent mechanical and thermal barrier against molten metal spatter, intense radiant heat and abrasion. All seams are double-stitched with the strongest thread on the market, 5-ply DuPont™ KEVLAR®, which withstands high temperatures and keeps the product from coming apart at the most critical moments. The construction is designed for maximum durability, and strategic points exposed to wear and stress are additionally reinforced, which gives a long service life even under intensive use.
Safety and certification
As part of the Lava Brown™ system, the 44-7114 spats are certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible protection level for welding clothing, intended for the riskiest processes that produce a lot of spatter and intense heat. A product certified to Class 2 gives you safety confirmed by independent testing bodies (TÜV), which is essential in professional industrial applications.
