Technical details and certification
Materials and construction
The 44-2114 spats are built from carefully selected split cowhide, which offers very good protective properties and high resistance to mechanical and thermal damage. A key element behind the above-average service life is the 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread used for all seams. Aramid thread resists burning through and breaking, which removes the weakest point of conventional protective clothing. The 36 cm length was chosen to cover the critical area where the trousers meet the work boots, so that hot spatter does not fall into the boot.

The Golden Brown™ spats were designed to meet the strict requirements of EN ISO 11611:2015 Class 2, which means they are intended for protection during general and heavy welding work such as MMA or MIG/MAG.
