Materials and construction
The exceptional durability of the 44-7106 spats comes from top-quality A-grade split cowhide with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. This carefully selected material, made in Weldas' own tannery, forms an effective barrier against molten metal spatter and intense radiant heat. The seams hold the construction together: they are double-stitched with 5-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread, the strongest on the market. This thread does not melt or burn, so the guard does not fall apart even in extreme conditions. All points exposed to the highest stress are additionally reinforced with metal rivets for long, reliable use.
Safety and certification
The Lava Brown™ 44-7106 spats are certified to EN ISO 11611:2015, Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible level of protection for welding clothing, intended for the riskiest processes that produce a lot of spatter and intense heat (e.g. MMA, FCAW, gouging). By choosing this model, you invest in safety that is certified and tested by independent bodies (TÜV), and you protect your feet and footwear against damage and burns.
