Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The bib overalls are built from carefully selected split cowhide with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. This material has high resistance to hot metal spatter and radiant heat and forms a solid protective barrier. The seams are a key factor in the service life of the garment: in this model they are sewn with 3-ply DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread. Its high resistance to heat and tearing keeps the seams from coming apart even under prolonged exposure to sparks. The construction is reinforced by riveting all critical points, which clearly increases mechanical strength where wear is greatest.
Safety and Certification
The 44-2648 bib overalls are certified to EN ISO 11611, which confirms their protective properties in Class 2. This is a high protection level, intended for general and heavy welding work such as MIG/MAG and MMA welding, where there is significant spatter and intense radiant heat. All Weldas products are certified by recognised notified bodies such as TÜV, and full documentation, including declarations of conformity, is available online.
