Materials and Construction
The 44-7114EXT extension is made of the same uncompromising materials as the entire Lava Brown™ line. The base is selected, heat-resistant A-grade split cowhide with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm, which forms an effective barrier against molten metal spatter and intense radiant heat. The construction is held together by double topstitched seams sewn with the strongest thread on the market, 5-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR®. This thread resists high temperatures and cuts, so the seams do not come apart even in extreme conditions. The extension is designed to integrate with the 44-7114 leggings, keeping the protection continuous and the mechanical strength intact.
Safety and Certification
The Weldas 44-7114 leggings, for which this extension is intended, are certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible protection level for welding clothing. Using the 44-7114EXT extension, made of identical certified materials with the same stitching technology, ensures that protection is maintained at Class 2 level.
