Materials and construction
The exceptional properties of the 10-2750 gloves are based on carefully selected grain cowhide. Unlike split leather, this is the outer and strongest layer of the hide, which gives the highest resistance to abrasion and tearing while keeping its natural softness. The leather has undergone a specialised tanning process that makes it water-repellent and oil-resistant, which stops it stiffening after contact with moisture and extends the life of the product. The key design element is the Keystone thumb, sewn in as a separate piece. It gives excellent ergonomics, follows the natural curve of the hand and significantly reduces fatigue during long hours of work. Everything is sewn with KEVLAR® thread, which keeps the seams intact even in contact with high temperatures and under heavy mechanical stress.
Safety and certification
STEERSOtuff® 10-2750 gloves are certified to the European standard EN 388:2016, which defines their level of protection against mechanical risks. The marking shows the results of laboratory tests that assess:
Abrasion resistance (level 1-4): Shows how durable the glove is under friction.
Cut resistance (level 1-5): Defines protection against sharp edges.
Tear resistance (level 1-4): Measures the force needed to tear the material.
