Materials and construction

Bison leather (palm): Using this distinctive material on the palm is a deliberate choice. Bison leather combines the legendary toughness of cowhide with the flexibility and fit typical of deerskin. Grade A split cowhide (back and cuff): The back of the hand and the long cuff, the areas most exposed to radiant heat and spatter, are made of thick split cowhide. This material forms a solid thermal and mechanical barrier that protects the welder's hand and forearm.
