Materials and construction
At the heart of the 10-2087 glove is the patented COMFOflex® technology. This two-layer lining system changes what you can expect from a welding glove in terms of comfort. The inner layer of soft fleece (fleecy cotton) wicks away sweat and keeps your hand dry even after hours of work. The outer layer of flame-retardant foam forms a distinctive "air cushion" that not only insulates your hand from heat but also cushions it, adding mechanical comfort. The whole glove is built on carefully selected grade A split cowhide, known for its exceptional resistance to abrasion and hot metal spatter. Structural integrity is secured by seams made 100% of 4-ply braided KEVLAR® thread, which removes the most common cause of glove failure: burnt-through and split seams. The additional thumb reinforcement significantly extends the life of the product under intensive use.
Safety and certification
Welder safety is an absolute priority for Weldas. The 10-2087 gloves hold a CE certificate issued by TÜV Rheinland, which confirms their compliance with strict European standards. They were tested to EN 12477 (Type A), the standard dedicated to welders' gloves, which sets the requirements for protection against mechanical (EN 388) and thermal (EN 407) hazards. Crucially, both the COMFOflex® lining and the KEVLAR® thread are flame-retardant, so the comfort features are not a weak point in the protection system.
