The 10-2900-A is a specialised version within this series, made for applications where extreme protection against contact and radiant heat is essential, without sacrificing the legendary comfort the COMFOflex® line is known for.

Materials and Construction
The 10-2900-A is built on a combination of advanced materials and a well-thought-out construction, designed for maximum safety and performance.
- Outer layer, class A cow split leather: The outer shell of the glove is made of top-quality cow shoulder split leather. This material was chosen for its exceptional resistance to abrasion, burn-through and molten metal spatter, which makes it the first and most important line of defence.
- Multi-layer inner insulation system: The heart of the glove is a unique three-part lining system:
1. Patented COMFOflex® lining: A two-component system with an inner layer of soft fleece that absorbs sweat and keeps your hand dry, and an outer layer of special foam. The foam creates an “air cushion” that not only absorbs mechanical shocks but, above all, acts as an excellent thermal insulator. Crucially, both layers are flame-retardant.
2. Additional wool layer: The 10-2900-A has an additional thick layer of wool that greatly increases protection against contact heat. This lets you handle hot parts safely and work right next to a heat source.
3. Full cuff protection: Unlike many standard gloves, the 10-2900-A also has a flame-retardant lining in the cuff, protecting the whole forearm. - Structural integrity, KEVLAR® thread: All seams are sewn with 4- or 5-strand braided DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread. Its extreme tensile strength and heat resistance eliminate the most common cause of glove failure, burnt-through and split seams, so the glove stays intact even in the harshest conditions.
Safety and Certification
Weldas 10-2900-A gloves are CE certified and tested by the renowned German institute TÜV Rheinland. They are designed to meet the strict requirements of European standards for personal protective equipment, in particular for protection against thermal hazards (EN 407) and mechanical hazards (EN 388). Every component of the glove, from the leather through the COMFOflex® lining and wool to the KEVLAR® thread, is flame-retardant, which gives a consistent, uncompromising level of safety. Production in an ISO 9001:2015 certified plant ensures the same top quality in every pair.
