Materials and construction
The heart of the 10-2000 model is the patented COMFOflex® lining. It is not an ordinary padding but an advanced two-layer system. The inner layer of soft fleece absorbs sweat effectively and keeps your hand dry, while the outer layer of special flame-retardant foam forms an insulating barrier that works like an air cushion. This design greatly increases comfort and protects against contact heat. The outer shell of the glove is made of selected A-grade shoulder split cowhide, valued for its excellent resistance to abrasion and high temperatures. The seams are the key element that determines durability. The 10-2000 model uses only 4-ply braided DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread, which resists burning through, the most common cause of glove damage. The “Wide Body” cut and a targeted reinforcement in the thumb area complete the design and make this model a very durable and functional work tool.
Safety and certification
Weldas 10-2000 gloves are certified to EN 12477:2001+A1:2005, classified as Type A. This means they have been designed and tested to provide the highest level of protection required for MIG/MAG and MMA (stick electrode) welding, where thermal and mechanical risks are greatest. Type A certification guarantees high resistance to flammability, contact, convective and radiant heat, and small drops of molten metal. Compliance with EN 388 (mechanical risks) and EN 407 (thermal risks) is confirmed by the independent test institute TÜV Rheinland, so you can be sure you are investing in proven and reliable safety.
