Materials and construction
The secret of the 10-2000 model's performance is the combination of top-grade materials and a well-thought-out design. The outer layer of grade A shoulder split cowhide gives excellent resistance to abrasion, puncture and high temperatures. The heart of the glove, however, is on the inside: the patented COMFOflex® lining. This two-part system consists of an inner layer of soft fleece that absorbs sweat and keeps your hand dry, and an outer layer of special foam that forms an air cushion. The cushion not only absorbs impact but also acts as an additional, crucial barrier against heat. Most importantly, both layers of the lining are flame-retardant, which removes the risk and ensures that comfort does not come at the expense of safety. The whole glove is stitched with extremely strong, burn-through-resistant KEVLAR® thread, which prevents the most common cause of glove failure: seams splitting under heat and stress.
Safety and certification
The Weldas 10-2000 gloves hold a CE certificate issued by the independent institute TÜV Rheinland, which guarantees compliance with the strict European standards for personal protective equipment. Every part of the glove, from the leather and the flame-retardant lining to the KEVLAR® thread, was designed for maximum protection. The wider "Wide Body" cut is not only about comfort. It is also an important safety feature, because it lets you pull the glove off instantly in an emergency.
