Materials and construction
The 10-2101GB gloves are built on carefully selected split cowhide, which gives very good insulation against heat and resists molten metal spatter. The key design element behind their above-average durability is the 3-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread used on all seams. Its aramid fibres do not melt or burn at high temperatures, which prevents the seams from splitting, the most common cause of welding glove failure. The distinctive “concealed” thumb design has no seam at the base of the thumb, the point most exposed to abrasion, and this significantly extends the service life of the product. The palm is lined with soft cotton that improves comfort and absorbs moisture.
Safety and certification
The 10-2101GB gloves are fully certified and carry the CE marking, which confirms that they comply with strict European standards. They have been tested and classified as Type A under EN 12477:2001/A1:2005. This means they provide the highest level of protection against thermal hazards (convective heat, radiant heat, molten metal spatter) and are intended for the heaviest welding processes. With this model you can be sure that your hands are protected by a product whose safety level has been verified and confirmed by the TÜV notified body.
