Materials and construction
The performance of the 10-2150 comes from a hybrid combination of two types of leather, each chosen for its particular properties. The gripping area of the palm is made of high-quality cowhide grain leather, which offers high resistance to abrasion and heat as well as the flexibility and feel you need for precise control of the welding torch. The back of the hand and the cuff are made of specially selected pigskin, valued in industry for its natural resistance to oil and water penetration. As a result, the glove keeps its properties and softness even in a tough workshop environment. The foundation of the design is 4-strand braided DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread on all seams. This is a key mark of premium quality: it eliminates the most common cause of glove failure, burnt-through or torn seams, and keeps the glove intact throughout its service life.
Safety and certification
The 10-2150 gloves are certified to the European standard EN 12477:2001/A1:2005 and classified as Type A. This means they provide a high level of protection against convective heat, radiant heat and molten metal spatter, which makes them suitable for most welding processes, in particular MIG/MAG and MMA. As a leader in safety, Weldas puts its products through rigorous testing in certified laboratories (TÜV), and the full documentation is publicly available, which gives the user verified and reliable protection.
