Technical details and certification

Materials and construction

The reliability of the 10-2209LB gloves is based on carefully selected class A split cowhide taken from the back section of the hide, which gives it flexibility, suppleness and the highest resistance. The guaranteed minimum material thickness (1 mm) forms a solid barrier against molten metal spatter and convective heat. All seams are made with the strongest thread on the market, 5-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR®, which does not melt or break at high temperatures and so prevents the glove from coming apart at critical moments. The 7.5 cm cuff also protects the wrist against injury.

Safety and certification

The 10-2209LB gloves are certified to EN 12477:2001/A1:2005 Type A. This is the highest level of protection for welding gloves and combines the strict requirements of EN 388 (mechanical risks) and EN 407 (thermal risks). Type A certification means the product is intended for the most hazardous welding processes, such as MMA welding, and gives your hands maximum protection. All Weldas products carry the CE marking and are tested by the renowned TÜV notified body, which guarantees verified and reliable safety.
