Materials and construction
The functionality of the 10-2304 comes from a well-thought-out combination of two types of leather and an uncompromising design. The palm, made of selected deerskin grain leather, is exceptionally soft and flexible. This gives the welder a direct feel for the filler wire and the torch, which is key to keeping precise control over the weld pool. The seam-free index finger design eliminates thick spots and pressure points, allowing smooth and precise wire feeding. The strength of the glove comes from seams made entirely with 4-strand braided KEVLAR® thread, which resists burn-through and tearing, the most common causes of glove damage. The long split cowhide cuff effectively protects the forearm against stray spatter and radiant heat.
Safety and certification
The SOFTouch™ 10-2304 gloves hold a certificate of conformity with the European standard EN 12477 (Type B), issued by TÜV. The Type B classification means the gloves are designed with an emphasis on the highest dexterity, which is a requirement in precise TIG welding.
