Weldas SOFTouch™ 10-1050 TIG welding gloves
The SOFTouch™ line is an engineering masterpiece created for TIG welders whose absolute priorities are precision, feel and dexterity. Unlike gloves designed for heavy MIG/MAG work, the SOFTouch™ series was designed as a specialised tool that becomes an extension of the welder's hand. Every element of its construction aims to give maximum control over the filler wire and the torch, which is essential in precise TIG welding.
Key features
Seam-free index finger: a patented design for outstanding precision and comfort.
Hybrid material design: tough cowhide grain leather combined with ultra-soft goatskin.
Maximum dexterity: certified as Type B to EN 12477, ideal for TIG welding.
Seam integrity: sewn throughout with fire-resistant, very strong KEVLAR® thread.
Designed for professionals: built on a deep understanding of what TIG welders need.
Technical details and certification
Materials and construction
The performance of the 10-1050 gloves comes from a deliberate combination of materials and an innovative design. The back and cuff are made of top-quality black cowhide grain leather, which offers excellent abrasion resistance and protects against radiant heat. The fingers, which are key to precision, are made of selected white goatskin, valued for its exceptional softness, flexibility and excellent "feel". This hybrid build is a smart compromise between durability and dexterity.
The most important innovation is the seam-free index finger. With no seam at this critical point, there is nothing to burn through, nothing to catch on the fed wire and nothing to cause discomfort during long periods of work. The whole glove is joined with multi-strand braided DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread, which ensures that the seams do not fail under high temperature or mechanical stress, the most common cause of failure in lower-grade gloves.
Safety and certification
The Weldas 10-1050 gloves are fully certified personal protective equipment, which confirms their compliance with strict European standards. They are certified to EN 12477 as Type B. This designation is reserved for welding gloves with the highest level of dexterity, as required for precise welding processes such as TIG. Compliance with EN 388 (mechanical risks) and EN 407 (thermal risks) guarantees documented protection against cuts, abrasion, contact heat and convective heat. By choosing this model, you invest in proven and certified safety.
