Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The strength of the Lava Brown™ welding bib overalls comes from top-quality Class A split cowhide (A-Grade side split cowhide) with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. Sourced from Weldas' own tannery, this material forms an excellent barrier against molten metal spatter, intense radiant heat and mechanical damage. The construction is held together by double-stitched seams sewn with 5-ply DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread, the strongest on the market. Aramid thread does not melt or burn, so the garment does not come apart at critical moments. All high-stress points, such as pockets and brace attachment points, are additionally reinforced with metal rivets that are covered on the inside so they do not conduct heat to the body.
Safety and Certification
The 44-7440/7648 bib overalls are certified to EN ISO 11611:2015, Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible protection level for welding clothing, required for the riskiest processes that produce heavy spatter and intense heat. Class 2 confirms that the product has passed rigorous tests of resistance to molten metal droplets and radiant heat. When you choose this model, you invest in the highest level of safety, certified and tested by independent bodies (e.g. TÜV).
