Materials and construction
The exceptional durability of these trousers comes from top-quality A-grade split cowhide (A-Grade side split cowhide) with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. This material, made in Weldas' own tannery, forms a very good, consistent barrier against molten metal spatter, sparks and high temperatures. All seams are double-stitched with 5-ply twisted DuPont™ KEVLAR® thread, the strongest on the market, which does not melt or burn and keeps the garment from falling apart at critical moments. In addition, all points exposed to mechanical stress are reinforced with metal rivets, which are covered on the inside so that they do not touch the skin or conduct heat.
Safety and certification
The Lava Brown™ trousers are certified to EN ISO 11611:2015, Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible level of protection for welding clothing, required for the riskiest processes that produce a lot of spatter and intense heat (e.g. MMA, FCAW, gouging). By choosing this model, you invest in safety that is certified and tested by independent laboratories, which is essential in a demanding work environment.
