Materials and Construction
The Arc Knight® 38-4340 bib overalls are a fine piece of materials engineering. The body is made of very heavy yet breathable flame-retardant cotton with a fabric weight of 520 g/m², which provides thermal comfort and freedom of movement. The areas most exposed to spatter and radiant heat, that is the entire front of the legs, are reinforced with panels of top-quality Class A split cowhide. This hybrid build puts protection where it is needed most without weighing down the whole garment. Seams sewn entirely with 3-ply KEVLAR® thread, which resists burning through and tearing, keep the construction intact under extreme conditions. Electrically insulated press studs eliminate the risk of accidental current conduction.
Safety and Certification
Welder safety comes first, which is why the Arc Knight® bib overalls are certified to EN ISO 11611:2015, Class 2/A1+A2. Class 2 is the highest protection level, intended for the most hazardous welding conditions with heavy spatter and high radiant heat.
