Technical Details and Certification
Materials and Construction
The strength of these trousers comes from top-quality Class A split cowhide with a guaranteed minimum thickness of 1 mm. This carefully selected material, sourced from Weldas' own tannery, forms an excellent barrier against molten metal spatter, intense radiant heat and mechanical damage while staying flexible. The seams are a key structural element: they are sewn with 5-ply DuPont™ KEVLAR® aramid thread, the strongest on the market, which does not melt or burn and stops the garment from coming apart at critical moments. The trousers have an open back and adjustable straps, a practical solution that gives good air circulation and reduces heat stress during long work, with no compromise on protection at the front of the body.
Safety and Certification
The 44-7440 trousers are certified to EN ISO 11611:2015, Class 2/A1+A2. This is the highest possible protection level for welding clothing, intended for the most hazardous manual work (MMA, FCAW, MIG/MAG at high currents) that produces heavy spatter and intense heat. Certification by the recognised notified body TÜV confirms that the product meets the strictest European safety standards. When you choose this model, you invest in proven, documented safety at the highest level.
