This PulseDrive pulse program is set up for Union AlMg5 wire, 1.0 mm diameter, with I1 shielding gas. You get pulsed arc and double pulse, useful where the look of the weld face matters.
What it is for
The program holds synergic curves for this one combination of wire, diameter and gas. You change wire feed speed or plate thickness and the machine sets voltage and arc shape itself. The program is meant for aluminium and its alloys. AlMg5 is used on aluminium-magnesium alloys.

Can I add this program to my TERRA NX or URANOS NX?
Yes, if your model is on the list above. TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE are not listed for PulseDrive in the selection guide. When ordering, give the model and serial number of the machine the program is for. Installation, by our service or as a manufacturer update, is agreed after the order.
How does PulseDrive differ from ArcDrive?
ArcDrive means short and spray arc without pulse. PulseDrive gives pulsed arc and double pulse: less spatter and easier pool control. ArcDrive for this set-up: ArcDrive 1.0 mm, gas I1 (79.S1.10799).
Can I use another ER5356 wire?
The curves are tuned to Union AlMg5. For other brands of the same class the price list offers the Universal ARC line, here: PulseDrive AlMg5 (ER5356) 1.0 mm, gas I1 (79.P1.107).
