What it is for
A program is a set of synergic curves for one wire, one diameter and one gas: you set wire speed or material thickness and the machine selects voltage and arc shape. The program is meant for aluminium and its alloys. AlMg5 is used on aluminium-magnesium alloys.

Yes, if your model is on the list above. ArcDrive has the widest machine list: it also covers TERRA NX 320/400 SMC SteelDrive and TERRA NX 400/500 MSE. Give the machine model and serial number with your order so we can confirm compatibility with its software. Whether our service installs it or it comes as a manufacturer update is settled after the order.
How does ArcDrive differ from PulseDrive?
ArcDrive welds with short and spray arc, without pulse. PulseDrive adds pulsed arc and double pulse, which helps on thin sheet and in position. The PulseDrive version of this program: PulseDrive 1.0 mm, gas I1 (79.P1.10799).
Can I use another ER5356 wire?
The curves are tuned to Union AlMg5. For other brands of the same class the price list offers the Universal ARC line, here: ArcDrive AlMg5 (ER5356) 1.0 mm, gas I1 (79.S1.107).
