The ST 2200 FX U/D is a gas-cooled TIG torch, 8 m long, with a flexible neck and U/D buttons for current control from the handle. You bend the neck by hand in any direction, and the ratings match the ST 2200 U/D: 0.5 to 4.0 mm electrodes, 180 A DC and 125 A AC at 35% duty cycle.
Who it is for
For welders who often work in vertical or overhead positions or in tight spots where a straight torch cannot reach the joint. Böhler Welding recommends the FX series for exactly these tasks. The torch runs without a cooling unit, so plan pauses on long welds close to 180 A.

Does the ST 2200 FX U/D fit TERRA NX TLH machines?
Yes. The Böhler price list specifies it for the TERRA NX 270 TLH and TERRA NX 320/400 TLH and for the URANOS NX machines listed above. The ST 2200 FX DigiTig 8 m is assigned to URANOS NX machines only.
Are the consumables the same as on the ST 2200 U/D?
Yes. Both torches use standard 17/18/26 series consumables: the same collets, collet bodies, ceramic nozzles No. 4 to 12 and back caps. Match the collet and collet body to the electrode diameter, from 0.5 to 4.0 mm.
4 m or 8 m?
The 8 m length gives you reach when you weld away from the machine, for example on a large structure, without moving it. For bench work the ST 2200 FX U/D 4 m is enough.
